New record for OTD2011 STAVANGER
Norway’s largest annual oil show, OTD, concluded this year’s event in Stavanger just before the weekend, with a record-breaking attendance. The show experienced a growth of 54 per cent from the previous year regarding the number of exhibitors, and the number of visitors was doubled.
There were in total 20,593 visitors at the show in Stavanger Forum, which was sold out in advance with 328 exhibitors from the oil industry.
- All stands were sold out several weeks in advance. We believe that both this fact and the record-breaking number of visitors are connected to the favourable prospects of the oil industry, says Erlend Keilen, General Manager of Offshore Media Group, the organiser of Norway’s largest annual oil show, OTD. The number of visitors at OTD2010 BERGEN was 10,500, with 210 exhibitors.
Impressed by the city of Stavanger
For the last ten years OTD has been held in Bergen, but relocated to Stavanger this year. All the hotels in the city were sold out during the show, and several hundred individuals placed their houses at OTD’s disposal so that the city could welcome the thousands of visitors from the Norwegian and international oil industry.
