The UNESCO-listed wharf: BryggenThe UNESCO heritage listed Hanseatic wharf was reconstructed after a great fire in 1702 following the old patterns and methods. The characteristic wooden buildings previously housed Hanseatic traders from 1350 to 1764.

Edvard Grieg Museum TroldhaugenThe home of the famous composer Edvard Grieg (1843-1907), Troldhaugen was built in 1885. He spent his last 22 years of his life in the house that is a museum. The interior is Grieg's own, from 1907. You can also visit the the composer's hut, the gravesite and the concert hall Troldsalen.

The funicular: FløibanenAn eight minute exciting and fascinating journey takes you to the top of mount Fløyen, 320 metres above the sea level. Beautiful panorama over the city centre and suburbs. Great hiking and walking area. Playground for children. Restaurant. Souvenirs.
